South Korea's most advanced bimanual robot — Rainbow Robotics RB-Y1 features dual 7-DOF arms with 30kg total payload and the most sensitive force feedback of any commercial bimanual system (1N resolution at fingertips). Created by KAIST professor Oh Jun-ho, who built Korea's first humanoid HUBO. RB-Y1 can perform tasks requiring <0.1mm precision such as PCB soldering and microsurgery assistance. Acquired along with Rainbow Robotics by Hyundai Motor Group in 2026 to combine with Boston Dynamics Atlas locomotion.
